Autism Awareness Story Time with Haley Moss

Join us LIVE with Haley Moss - Attorney, Author, Artist, Speaker, and Autism Advocate - for a virtual story time on Facebook LIVE as we continue our celebration of Autism Awareness Month with a reading of “My Brother Otto” by Meg Raby, followed by an interactive Q&A session! 

 

Sensory Friendly Saturday Drive-Thru 

Saturday, April 10 | 9AM – 11AM 

 

Join us on Saturday, April 10 from 9AM – 11AM for a very special Sensory Friendly Saturday Drive-Thru where families will receive sensory bags filled with goodies! Each bag comes with sensory friendly fidgets, calming activities, and the book “I Like Myself,” an upbeat, empowering book about self-love. Goody bag giveaways are limited to the first 200 households and will be distributed on a first come first served basis. Families and children with disabilities are encouraged to join us!

Sensory Friendly Saturday

On the second Saturday of every month, Miami Children’s Museum offers a sensory friendly experience for children with disabilities and their families. This month we’re getting silly with some spaghetti sensory activities and a special virtual performance from our Theatre Troupe! Our goal is to provide your child with the opportunity to engage in social interactions and improve their processing and regulation of sensory input to optimize their understanding of and participation in natural environments. Visit Museum at Home or our social media channels (YouTubeInstagramFacebookTwitter) for a day filled with sensory activities! 

 

Autism Awareness Story Time with Dr. Temple Grandin

Join us on Facebook LIVE with Dr. Temple Grandin, Ph.D. for a virtual story time as we continue our celebration of Autism Awareness Month with a reading of her book, “The Outdoor Scientist: The Wonder of Observing the Natural World”. Dr. Temple Grandin is a professor and author, and is renowned for her trailblazing work as a spokesperson for people with autism and her lifelong work with animal behavior. This special LIVE story time will be followed by an interactive Q&A session!
